The love of painting. Pushing paint around with a brush until that moment when one knows it is right. Searching for the emotion, the personality which will connect to the viewer is the elusive quest of a painter. I always enjoy watching people look at my paintings. I watch their reactions and invariably, I can tell when there has been a connection: Whether a fond memory or a hoped-for future, their emotions and my work have met and become one. I do not specialize in one subject or one technique; I seek the broadest possible language of life itself.
